Befriending Yourself – A Mindful Self-Compassion 6-Week Online Training Program is a six-week discovery journey of MSC Mindful Self-Compassion. Explore the benefits of Mindful Self-Compassion in a comprehensive new online format with two experienced women who have been teaching together for many years. Together we learn practices that ease stress in daily life and help us to overcome self-criticism as we learn how to motivate ourselves with friendliness. We explore how to be kind with ourselves in the face of difficult emotions and caregiving fatigue. In this process we gain emotional resilience as we deepen our experiences with effective practices to develop the skill of self-compassion.
What to expect: During our weekly one and a half hour online gatherings we offer meditations, short talks, experiential exercises and inquiry as well as practical tools for becoming a warm and supportive companion to ourselves. We will have group discussions and connect in small groups – allowing us to experience our common humanity and to feel supported. This program offers a personal setting and a nourishing experience in a small group. Two dedicated teachers guide you through a six-week discovery journey of MSC Mindful Self-Compassion.
Basic Information: For a total of six weeks we meet weekly for up to 1,5 hours via the ZOOM online platform as our practice space.
This 6-week SC-MSC online program covers a selection of essential Self-Compassion practices presented in an easily accessible format. With a total of 9 teaching hours it is shorter than the 8-week MSC program.
Prerequisites: The 6-week program is very well suited for anyone who‘d like to take first steps in the practice of Self-Compassion under the guidance of experienced teachers and in a supportive group format or for people who have joined a MSC program before and would like a refresher. Beginners with an interest in mindfulness and people who meditate regularly are both welcome.
